Privacy
Short version: we don’t use cookies, we don’t track you across the internet, and we don’t sell anything about you. If you want your data gone, email us and it’s gone.
What we collect
If you join the mailing list, we store your email address and when you signed up. That’s it. We don’t ask for a name and we don’t need one.
We measure page views using privacy-preserving analytics that set no cookies and build no profile of you. We can see that a page was viewed and roughly where from; we cannot see who you are or what else you do online.
We also count anonymous actions — which filter was tapped, which event was opened, and what was searched for. Search terms are recorded without anything identifying who typed them, because a search that returns nothing tells us which Columbia events we are still missing. If you searched for something personal, it is a word in a counter and nothing else.
If you submit an event, we keep what you sent us and the email address you sent it from, so we can ask you about it.
Cookies
We don’t set any. No advertising pixels, no cross-site trackers, no consent banner to dismiss — because there’s nothing to consent to.
Business listings
Some business profiles are built from public information — a name, address, hours, phone number, category. We do this so the directory is useful on day one rather than empty.
If a listing is yours: claiming it is free, correcting it is free, and removal takes one email with no questions asked. We will never charge you to fix or remove your own information.
Every newsletter has a working unsubscribe link and we honour it immediately. We send through Resend, who process the mail on our behalf.
Who else sees it
Our hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), and email (Resend) providers process data to run the service. We don’t sell data, rent it, or share it with advertisers.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — email hello@hellocomo.co and we’ll do it. No account required, no form to fill in.
Children
Hello CoMo is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll remove it.
